Season Of Love
Introduction
The Season of Love is about SHOWING LOVE IN REAL WAYS.
For example we've had our free: sausage sizzle, balloons & facepainting; we're going to give away free Christmas mince pies on the streets to anyone/everyone; we're going out and doing things – a church without walls, united as one to love God and love God's people – not in word only, but action!
What is the Season Of Love?
It is a series of opportunities for YOU to LOVE YOUR NEIGHBOUR, to MAKE NEW FRIENDS & DO DIFFERENT THINGS … All in the spirit of LOVE and breaking out of our comfort zones to cultivate LOVE AS A LIFESTYLE…
These opportunities are presented in a series of activities – from Christmas carolling in public, prayer walks, fun activities and more! These activities hope to ENTHUSE you to get out and be a blessing to others.
It’s all about love. It’s all about being a real blessing – first in this House, and then in the neighbourhood.
Why start the Season Of Love?
- Because we need tend to stick to ourselves and our own circle of friends.
- Because LOVE is a fruit of the Spirit that must be BORNE through a dedicated effort to obey the call to love our neighbour as ourselves.
- Because without love actively seen in our lives, faith cannot be activated.
- Because without love in our relationships, we cannot claim we know God.
- Because God is love and He must be the centre of all we are and all that we do.
You've got to be part of it to be changed by it
MAKE SURE YOU SIGN UP AND GET INVOLVED IN THIS SEASON – START TO HAVE YOUR MINDSET TRANSFORMED AND YOUR CHARACTER CONFORMED TO LIVE OUT THE WORD DAILY AND MAKE IT A LIFESTYLE!
The goal is that everyone who goes through the Season of Love will come out of it changed – so that while the series of activities may have ended, love would remain . The goal is for YOU to cultivate and establish a mindset that is focused on blessing others in ways that may move you out of your comfort zone. To dare to show others love in new and effective ways – so that together, NLCC will grow in Sharing Life and Love in Jesus.
