“But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Against such tings there is no law.” Galatians 5:22-23.

God is love. The nature of the true God is love. When God lives in us, His nature can be seen and expressed through us. How can this be possible? It is through Jesus Christ! All who have faith in Jesus Christ as Saviour and Lord have the God the Spirit in them, giving the life of God to them! This is the life that flows from the Risen Christ, the Son of God. Praise be to the Lord Jesus. The Risen Christ!

Easter Sunday is the day when we Christians celebrate and commemorate the wonderful truth that God so loved us that He sent His Son to come into this world to die for our sins, so that all who believe and receive His Son Jesus Christ by faith may have eternal life. In raising the crucified Jesus of Nazareth from the dead on the 3rd day after His crucifixion, God powerfully declared that Jesus is truly the promised Messiah, the Son of God. He is the promised ‘God our Saviour’. The Risen Christ is our Redeemer, as He has paid the price for all our sins and shame, hurts and pains!  So in Christ, we are the redeemed of the Lord! We belong to God. As we yield to the lordship of the Spirit of Christ who lives in us, others will see the fruit of the Spirit expressed through the way we live and relate.

May there be a great increase in the fruit of the Spirit in our midst at NLCC. In the month ahead, let us daily choose to remember this word of God and see it come alive in us. May we see a harvest of love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control in our families, in our Life Groups, and in all our relationships!
