“God, who has called you into fellowship with His Son Jesus Christ our Lord, is faithful.” 1 Corinthians 1:9

The theme for this year is ‘the favour of the Lord’. It means that the time has come for us to experience God’s grace in our lives. It is God’s appointed season for His promises to become real in our lives.

The reason for our confidence: our God is a faithful God. He has called us into His fellowship. He has called us to have a share in the life of His Son, our Lord Jesus Christ.

The outcome is directly dependent on our attitude towards God’s word. If we receive it by faith, then we can expect it to come our way. If we reject the promise of God, needless to say, we should expect nothing. In God’s kingdom, we are told that the righteous shall live by faith, from first to last!
So let us respond by faith to the promises of God. Let us open our hearts to God and let His favour come upon us like a shield!
